About Pitch Black
Pitch Black is the fifth main expansion in the Mega Evolution Series, the English-language adaptation of Japan's Abyss Eye set. With 115+ cards and a heavy darkness theme, Pitch Black centers on Mega Darkrai ex — the highest-anticipated Mega Evolution chase since the era launched.
The set ships six Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, four Pokémon ex, eleven Illustration Rares, eighteen Ultra Rares, and six Special Illustration Rares. Prerelease events run July 4–12, 2026, with full retail launch on July 17. Use the simulator to map out your expected pulls before you commit to a booster box.
